Has anyone else been keeping an eye on the recent Apex anti-cheat news?

EA announced on September 24 that Apex Legends would switch its PC anti-cheat system to EA Javelin Anti-Cheat, effective September 29, 2026.

Official announcement: https://www.ea.com/games/apex-legends/apex-legends/news/javelin-anticheat-announcement

The reason I'm bringing it up is that product pages can contain older compatibility wording. If a listing still mentions an older anti-cheat system, I'd want current confirmation instead of assuming the claim automatically applies after an update.

I'm not asking for bypass instructions. I'm asking what sources are worth checking for an accurate, current status.

Official EA announcements first. Random comments saying "works perfectly" without a date or anything to support the claim aren't much use.

Yeah, "undetected" is a marketing claim, not a guarantee that something will stay compatible forever.

I'd look for a dated status notice from the provider and ask support directly if the compatibility information doesn't mention the latest update. An old status page isn't proof of current compatibility.

Also worth separating server problems from software compatibility. If Apex itself has connection problems, that doesn't automatically tell you anything about a third-party product.

True. EA's official server status page is useful for checking service problems: https://help.ea.com/en/server-status/ For product-specific claims, though, you'd still need current information from the provider.

The main thing is not to treat silence as confirmation. If something isn't documented after a major change, ask before spending money and don't rely on guesses from old threads.

And don't post account details, login credentials or private support tickets publicly while asking for help. A compatibility discussion shouldn't require any of that.

Good thread. Dates and actual sources beat another argument about whose cousin knows a guy who says it's fine lol.
